Email Tech Support - Mac Mail 2.0

1) Click on the Mail menu, and then select Preferences.

The Accounts window will appear.

2) In the Accounts window, select your BasicISP.net email configuration in the list on the left.  The details for the account will appear on the right hand side of the window.  Verify the following:

Account Type: POP

Description: your email address.
Email address: your email address.
Full Name: your name.

Incoming Server: mail.basicisp.net
Username: the first part of your email address (before @).
Password: your password.

Outgoing Server: mail.basicisp.net

NOTE: FOR ALL OTHER DIAL-UP COMPANIES, THE USERNAME NEEDS TO BE THE FULL EMAIL ADDRESS (EXAMPLE@COMPANY.COM)

Click the Server Settings button.

3) Check your SMTP options:

Outing Server: mail.basicisp.net
Port: 25
Use SSL: Unchecked.
Authentication: Password
Username: the first part of your email address (before @).
Password: your password.
