1) Click Tools -> Account Settings.

2) In the Account Settings dialog box, click on Add Account.  This is found beneath the list on the left.

3) Select Email Account and click Next.

4) Enter your first and last name in the Your Name field.

Enter your basicisp.net Email Address in the Email address field.

Click Next.

5) The Incoming mail server is a POP server.

The Incoming Server name is mail.basicisp.net.

Uncheck Use Global Inbox.

Click Next.

6) In the Incoming User Name filed, enter your Basic ISP email address.

The Outgoing User Name will be the same.

Click Next.

7) The Account Name is the name that identifies this specific email configuration.  We recommend naming this either Basic ISP or by your Basic ISP email address.

Click Next.

8) This page will display the information you entered so that you can double check the accuracy.  If everything appears as it should be, click Finish.

9) Back in the Account Settings dialog box, locate Outgoing Server in the list on the left.  Highlight this item to bring up the current Outgoing Server (SMTP) information.

Click Add.

10) In the Description field, enter Basic ISP.

In the Server Name field, enter mail.basicisp.net.

The Port should be 25.

Under Security and Authentication select Use name and password.  The username here will be the same as it was before: your Basic ISP email address.

Under Use secure connection make sure that No is selected.

Click OK.

11) Thunderbird is now configured for your Basic ISP email account.  Click OK to return to your inbox and check your Basic ISP email.
