1) In Opera, click on the Tools menu, and then select Mail and Chat Accounts from the list.

The Manage Accounts window will appear.

2) In the Manage Accounts window click New.

3) In the wizard, select Regular E-mail (POP).

Click Next.

4) In the Real Name field enter your First and Last Names.  In the Email address field please enter your full Basic ISP Email address.  Organization can be left blank.

Click Next.

5) The Login Name will be your email address.  The password will be your normal Basic ISP password.


Click Next.

6) In the Incoming Server field enter mail.basicisp.net.

In the Outgoing Server field enter the same.

Use secure connection and leave messages on server should remain unchecked.

Click Finish.

There is still one more setting to configure.

7) In the Manage Accounts window, highlight your Basic ISP configuration and click Edit.

8) In the Account Properties window, click on the Servers tab.

On the Servers tab locate the Outgoing SMTP server section.  Verify that the username is displayed correctly, and that Secure Connection (TLS) is not checked.

Click OK.

9)  Your email configuration is now complete.  To return to the inbox and check your mail, click OK in the Manage Accounts window.
