Home and Pro plans are not eligible for static IP addresses.

BasicISP Lite Dial-Up Back Up Plan:

A low cost Dial-Up plan is available for HughesNet© Satellite users who subscribe through BasicISP.net. This 30 hour/month back up plan is only $3.95/month and is a valuable service for those who need email and internet access while on the road or in the event of satellite transmission interruptions.

1Speed

Stated Speeds not guaranteed and Fair Access Policy applies.

Listed speeds are available only through Hughes’ new satellite. The majority of subscribers will have access to these faster speeds. However, approximately 3% will not be able to receive these speeds as a result of trees or other obstacles that block the signal from the satellite to the home. In these cases, Hughes can offer slightly slower Internet access via another satellite with download speeds up to 700 Kbps, 1.0 Mbps, and 1.5 Mbps; and upload speeds up to 128 Kbps, 200 Kbps and 200 Kbps for Home, Pro and ProPlus service plans, respectively.

In all cases, actual upload speed will likely be lower than speed indicated during peak hours. See our Questions section for more information on typical speeds. Download speeds may also be temporarily slowed in cases when patterns of system usage exceed the download threshold for an extended period of time. See the HughesNet Fair Access Policy for more information.

Each email account has 2 GB of storage. The domain of your email addresses will be @Hughes.net. HughesNet email is compatible with any email client that supports Pop3 and SMTP protocols.

2Threshold

Based on an analysis of customer usage data, Hughes has established a download threshold for each of the HughesNet service plans that is well above the typical usage rates. Subscribers who exceed that threshold will experience reduced download speeds for approximately 24 hours. During this recovery period the HughesNet service may still be used, but speeds will be slower.

3Express Repair - Home

Includes 2nd business day coverage, 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. $29.95 per on-site repair incident in addition to monthly fee. Requires 12-month commitment. $25 administrative fee applies if Express Repair is cancelled before the end of the commitment term.

4Express Repair - Business

Includes next business day coverage, 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. $29.95 per on-site repair incident in addition to monthly fee. Requires 12-month commitment. $25 administrative fee applies if Express Repair is cancelled before the end of the commitment term.

*Equipment

Equipment provided to you may be new or refurbished as new. Any refurbished equipment will have the same warranty as new equipment. In the event that you elect the purchase option, and the equipment installed at your location is refurbished, we will provide you with a $25 credit on your first Service invoice.

+30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Hughes offers a 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. We hope you are happy with your HughesNet service. If you are not completely satisfied, you may cancel your service and return your HughesNet equipment to receive a refund. The HughesNet modem, power supply and radio must be returned to Hughes, in good condition, within 45 days of cancelling your service in order to receive the equipment refund. Hughes will provide instructions on how to de-install and return your equipment. You are not required to return, and Hughes is not obligated to de-install or pay for the de-installation of the antenna, mount or any cables. Installation charges and other fees are not refundable.
