Founded in 1994, EarthLink has become a top name in the ISP industry. EarthLink gained many of its customers through the mergers and acquisitions. In 2000, EarthLink merged with MindSpring which made it become the 2nd largest Internet service provider behind AOL. EarthLink acquired People PC in 2002.
